OASIS ALIVE & WELL™ introduces pro-biotics, vitamins and electrolytes into the digestive system of small pet animals during stressful periods. By preventing stress, stress-triggered illnesses such as wet-tail are in turn prevented. ALIVE & WELL offers the chance to start each hamster and small rodent off right when they leave for their new homes. Pets love the orange flavor and consume more treated water, increasing the odds of a successful stress-free transfer in habitat and diet. Safe for use with hamsters of all sizes and types, mice, rats, gerbils and guinea pigs. Shown to be beneficial when offsetting showhall stress in show cavies (guinea pigs) and rabbits. HOW TO GIVE YOUR NEW "POCKET PET" THE BEST START POSSIBLE IN ITS NEW HOME:
Observe how the pet's cage was set-up in the store where you bought it. Try to duplicate this as closely as possible, and try to offer the same diet it was eating. The goal is to keep easily stressed pets (most often hamsters) as calm and secure feeling as possible, thus preventing the stress that can cause illness (commonly in the form of wet-tail diarrhea) and possible death.

Symptoms of Stress

SYMPTOMS OF STRESS MAY INCLUDE:Obvious changes in behavior or physical appearance such as weight loss, hunched posture, coat ungroomed or "standing up", animal sitting in one position with eyes squinted, lack of appetite or dehydration. The pet ( hamster, rat, mouse, gerbil or guinea pig) may not want to be handled. Sick hamsters, rats or mice often have dry looking ears (a sign of dehydration) held back against the head, and hamsters can have empty cheek pouches which give the face a thin, lean look.

Treatment

Use Oasis Alive & Well as directed for 6 to 12 days. The vitamins and electrolytes will support your pet's nutritional needs to battle stress, and the probiotics will replace beneficial bacteria that naturally occur in the intestinal tract and may have been depleted by the stress of moving into a new environment or changing the diet.

Dosage: Add fizz-tabs to drinking water as follows: Dissolve one tablet into 4 ounces of water to produce a solution containing beneficial microorganisms. Change the water every 24 to 48 hours, and use Alive & Well continuously for 6 to 12 days . If pet develops signs of illness (diarrhea or signs of stress listed above), switch to Oasis Wet-Tail Drops or Oasis Wet-Tail Plus immediately.
